Sun Glitters

collect on:

When one thinks of the country of Luxembourg, a sun-laden escape may not come to the front of mind. But it’s the sun that inspires one of the nation’s most cutting-edge electronic artists.

Victor Ferreira is the person behind Sun Glitters, a summer obsessed, blissful-synth project. Since 2011 Ferreira has released an endless stream of music, with an LP (‘SSoofftt TToouucchh’), EP (‘Yesterday, Tomorrow … Today’), and double single (It Took Me A While / Somewhere, Nowhere) in 2020 alone.

Ferreria’s glitchy tracks serve up an ever-changing landscape of noise-laden melodies, warm bass, and pitch-shifted vocals. His audio/visual projects push the creative boundaries, merging his art as a music producer, video director and graphic designer. Ferreria spoke about how SSoofftt TToouucchh brought a retro sound to the digital age. “Playing with digital and motion collages was part of my process, inserting interludes in between songs to create short stories or chapters that speak to the years transpired since starting the writing process,” he wrote on his Bandcamp page.

Ferreria shares some of his favorite Sun Glitters tracks for his Greylist to help keep you warm this winter.
